Drake Has Peaked at Every Position in the Hot 100’s Top 40

It’s become a tradition: Drake releases new music and Billboard record books get rewritten. One of the most intriguing feats involved is at how many positions on the Billboard Hot 100 his songs have peaked.

Upon the chart takeovers of his three new albums — ICEMAN, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR — and 42 tracks, he gets closer to completing a clean sweep, narrowing further the number of Hot 100 ranks he has yet to cross off.

As of Drake’s album Scorpion in 2018, he had peaked at 84 places on the Hot 100.

2021’s Certified Lover Boy pushed his count to 90 peak ranks.

A year later, Honestly, Nevermind moved him to 91 distinct peaks.

After three more albums in 2022-25, he claimed peaks at 93 positions.

Where does Drake stand for the mark thanks to his trio of new collections?

Looking at the May 30- and June 6-dated Hot 100s, assuming peak ranks hold, Drake has added two more to his haul, extending his record total to 95 — including one that gives him peaks at every position in the top 40.

One other star has earned the honor of notching peaks at all stops in the Hot 100’s top 40: Taylor Swift. She completed her set when “So High School” peaked at No. 24 in May 2024. She has posted peaks at every rank from No. 1 through No. 69.

On the newest chart, Drake’s “Firm Friends” falls to No. 69. It debuted the week before at No. 31 — the last position he needed to have peaked at every Hot 100 rank in the top 40. He has now pinnacled at each number between Nos. 1 and 45.

Plus, Drake shouted “bingo!” for No. 93, with “Stuck” spending a week at that spot on the May 30 Hot 100.

The only ranks at which Drake now hasn’t peaked on the Hot 100? Nos. 46, 77, 96, 98 and 99.

Swift has missed peaking only at Nos. 70, 78, 81, 86, 93 and 95-100, for a total of 89 career peak positions.

Adding to the feat’s impressive nature, Drake has peaked at 93 of the Hot 100’s top 95 positions. Reaching Nos. 96, 98 and 99 going forward would obviously pale in comparison to his numerous chart records that involve No. 1 status, but it would move him closer to checking off every page of his Hot 100 passport.

Beyond peaks, Drake has ranked at every rung on the chart (achieved prior to his three new albums).

Meanwhile, on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, Drake has peaked at 49 of 50 positions (the survey’s depth since October 2012). Similar to the Hot 100, he has missed only at the bottom: No. 50.

On Streaming Songs, Drake has peaked at every position between No. 1 and its No. 50 anchor spot.

In further perspective, with peaks for Drake at 95 Hot 100 ranks, only 27 artists have charted even that many songs on the list, where he leads with 402 career entries. (Swift is second with 276 and Post Malone rounds out the club with 97.) They rank among more than 8,300 artists that have appeared on the chart over its nearly 68-year history.
